Giovanninono’s
Charitable Support
Giovannino (of Navarra Cohen) has been a devout Catholic throughout his life, actively engaging in parish activities, religious education programs, and faith-based initiatives. His lifelong dedication to the Catholic faith is exemplified by his tireless act of restoring the ceiling and windows of St. Augustine Church in Balmain, NSW, at his own expense of over $80,000. His acts of charity reflect and honour the faith-based requirements of the Catholic community in furthering the Catholic mission of compassion and social justice. Giovannino consistently demonstrates a sense of duty to serve and uplift local, national, and international communities.
His commitment is evident through efforts to feed the homeless, his steadfast support of St. Vincent de Paul’s House and St. Monica’s, plus rural programs catering to over 2000 locals who had faced drought.
Giovannino has also been instrumental in establishing his family’s Navarra Care Foundation, through philanthropic dissemination with the Navarra family. More than $726,000 has already been disbursed by the foundation, assisting hundreds of disadvantaged individuals and communities to give back to their community through fundraising initiatives and donations. The family foundation has pledged ongoing annual disbursements. The Navarra family additionally made a $100,000 grant donation to Dementia Australia.
